The specification on this says it converts power to 110v~220V. This is not true!! ONce you receive the product you realise it can only convert to 110V output!! This was rather disappointing as I travel quite frequently on business and was hoping to be able to use this while on the move wherever I go.

Fortunately for me, some of the main items that I frequently would need to use in the car (my Laptop, Phone charger etc) support 110-220v, so not a complete disaster. However I though I should put this up as a warning for folks in order that they don't get misled by the description on the website!!

When I receive the device I have seen that it was written 110V and 60 Hz on the device, not 220V. Also, I measured the voltage by a voltmeter and it has shown 125V AC.

Only downside is that my Ipod makes a pretty bad audio hum when I listen to it while charging it from the inverter's AC power. But that's probably an issue with the Ipod and any modified sine wave inverter.

I manage a field team and have to have my office in the truck. I used to try to have 12 volt adapters for all my gadgets. 12 volt chargers are not usually smart chargers so if you leave your device plugged in beyond the battery's capacity it begins to cook and destroy its ability to hold a charge. Mobile device batteries are expensive, so you don't want to be replacing them unnecessarily. The 110 volt chargers are called smart chargers because they sense when the battery is at peak capacity and dials back to a maintenance level of input. At first I thought a converter would be too bulky but they can rest under a seat nicely or in my case under the drink tray. So there they are, all my adapters all plugged into two power strips with just the device end of the cords sticking up ready for easy access. The printer and laptop plugged into one power strip and everything else plugged into the other power strip. This way I can flip the rocker switch on the power strip not in use disconnecting it and its resident adapters while the other adapters are happily doing their jobs and avoid scuffling around on the floor of the truck trying to plug in the charger I need at the moment. (If you are going to be powering multiple adapters at once, you'll need to pay attention to the total wattage being used.) The added convenience of being able to plug in any transportable household appliance is just icing on the cake. Coffee anyone? (Don't be trying to power a 1000 watt microwave oven. Its an alternative power source for MOBILE battery powered products.) That said, it handles my printer and laptop simultaneously without stressing its capacity. With the Panasonic Toughbook CF29 laptop plugged in alone, the cooling fan doesn't even kick on in the inverter.



Note: The instruction book (yes I actually read them) said you shouldn't leave the converter plugged into your power port unattended as it can drain the car's battery even when the converter is turned off. From experience, I can tell you it only takes about an hour or a little more to deplete my truck's battery if the engine isn't running while this unit is powering my laptop, so...

If I attach the valve first and then turn on, for some reason there's not enough power for it to start. But with this minor workaround, it does work fine and I can pump up my tires effortlessly in a minute.

So far as I know, Seafoam was originally developed as a greatly reduced price additive (relative to Yamaha's RING FREE) for marine engines.



Well, a year ago first I added it to the gas tank of my rough running 1979 Honda GoldWing GL1000 motorcycle that has one of the most complicated carburetors known. I think 9 out of 10 problems with the '75-'79 Wing's carbs (I also own a '78 Wing) have to do with deposits from the lousy (YES, lousy!) gas that we use -- never mind the 10% or more alcohol that sucks water into the gas that increases engine corrosion. Anyhow, after running a few tanks of gas (containing 2 oz Seafoam per 5 gal) through the bike, lo and behold the rough running stopped, and gas mileage shot up.



There's more. So I also own a vintage 1992 Volvo 240 station wagon (that I had bought new) that was beginning to feel like it had hardening of the arteries in its fuel injectors. Same story as the motorcycle. After (changing the spark plugs & then) running two tanks of gas laced with the recommended "dose" of Seafoam the Volvo got back its old frisky self -- and I don't exaggeate when I write that it runs like a new car! My wife has a 1991 Volvo 240 station wagon (similarly bought new) -- same story.

I have applied this product twice to my 1995 Kia Sephia (Carburetor version) and it worked wonders for me. These cars have hydraulic valve lifters like most modern Mazda engines (Sephia is based on the Mazda 323 platform/engine), my lifters were ticking like hell and this product helped to calm them down. Now they only make noise when I accelerate the car a lot (I have to admit I have a lead foot), it has also made my car to idle REAL SMOOTH. So smooth people ask me if my engine has been rebuilt or swapped. My engine does not smoke and is very efficient.



Acceleration has also increased and I think I restored about 5 to 10 HP from my engine which is the part I love the most!



Apply according instructions and don't over accelerate the car after you apply the product you could damage the engine as the oil is thinner because of the seafoam you added. Also, older engines don't like to be pushed hard, NEVER EVER hit the redline RPM or even near.



I liked this product so much that I even was selling it in the Dominican Republic. I had to quit because of the high cost of shipping and customs here. Other than that, it would be a wonderful business.

its excellent. i run it through the gas tank and the pcv valve, and use the deep creep on the throttle bodies.

stabilizes the fuel, and cleans the varnish and carbon from the internals.

great stuff. couldn't recommend more highly.



most stuff in a can is hokus pokus. seafoam is the real deal and worth every penny.

I use Seafoam on my Honda CBR 1100XX at least twice a year. At the begining of the riding season, in April, to clean out my fuel lines and fuel injectors. And again at the year's end when I put the bike away for the Winter. It prevents the fuel from gumming up the FI and fuel lines while the bike is not in use. A great product.

I found this online as a solution to motor sludge. Since it beats disassembling an engine, I thought that I'd try it. With many engines with different seasons, I used it in my outboard motor, summer car, and daily car. It perked up both the summer car and outboard (used in the gas) making me smile. I haven't finished with the sludge problem (I'm installing an oil pressure gauge to test it). So far, seems to work great!!

First off, I never heard of Seafoam before. Someone had suggested it on the Gold Box Forum when I started a thread about an issue on my car. Because lately, my car needs to be revved (two minutes minimum) in order for my RPM to reach at least 1,000 if not, my car would sputter and die down. So after spending time watching youtube on how to apply this product. I gave it a shot, little did I know not only did it not solve my problem, it also, turned on my check engine light.



I would have given it one star but I'm sure it cleaned the carbon out of my motor even a little. So now I have to resort to cleaning my Idle Control Valve and hope that will solve my problem. For the record though, this is the first and the last time I'll be using this product.

I heard about this stuff via browsing the internet for a solution to old gas clogging up the carburetor on my backup generator. I read so many positive things about it that I went looking for some, mainly to use in the gas tank of my tiller, mower, generator, gas cans, etc to overwinter and keep the fuel from breaking down. At the first auto store I went to, I asked if they had it. The guy told me he sold more of this stuff then anything else in the store. I was amazed, because I have never heard of it before. I bought a few cans, then I went to a different auto store and asked there. That guy could not say enough about this stuff. Two stores, two raving reviews. I use it all the time now. It works great for keeping the fuel from breaking down. I also put it in my cars periodically to keep them cleaned out. I also bought some of the spray stuff to clean the sticky carburetor. It melted the gum buildup instantly. Needless to say, spray version can also be used to clean-out your carburetor. You spray it in until the engine stalls, let the engine sit for 5 to 10 minutes and then start it up and watch the smoke billow out your exhaust! I buy it by the case now. We use in on the farm in our tractors as well because the gas tends to sit for a long time between use there as well. All you have to do is search the internet for it and you will find people recommending it for just about everything related to motors (car, marine, motorcycle, diesel, etc) and these posting are in forums and such, not magazine articles - real people using the product.

THis stuff works, I purchased a can at a local auto parts store, and put it in my 94 Bonneville because it was recommended to me to reduce my rough idle. I was very skeptical at first, I thought for sure that I needed new spark plugs or wires, but I tried this "solution" anyway. It made a world of difference, my tachometer was so still, I wasn't sure if it was working or if it was stuck. Highly recommended for rough idling.
